Manish Jain

Manish Jain is deeply committed to regenerating our diverse knowledge systems and cultural imaginations. He is one of the strong voices on deschooling our lives.  He has served for the past 19 years as Coordinator and Co-Founder of Shikshantar: The Peoples’ Institute for Rethinking Education and Development based in Udaipur, India and is co-founder of the Swaraj University, Creativity Adda, Learning Societies Unconference, Walkouts-Walkon network, Udaipur as a Learning City, Families Learning Together network in India. He has travelled to over 50 countries around the world and has been profoundly shaped by these journeys.

Vijay Bhartiya

Vijay Bharatiya has been engaging with the youth community for last three decades. His energy and passion to work with youth has shaped his personality and his mission for life. With a strong interest in development issues, he has and continues to redefine his paradigm for true youth education. The influence of leading personalities like Dr. S.N. Subbarao, P.V. Rajagopal and the late Baba Amte can be seen in his values, work style and approach to work. He is the founder of Young Experimenters Group, YEG, and works as the Director of the South Asia Peace Alliance (SAPA). As the director of SAPA, he focuses on training and capacity building in non-violence and peace-making for both youth and community leaders to resolve conflict in nonviolent ways at South Asia level. He also is active in Peace Education for the younger generation and nurturing Youth Leadership for Peace Education.

Nitin Paranjape

Nitin Paranjape is one of the founder-members of Abhivyakti. For more than 20 years, his passion has been around supporting community media for deeper personal reflection and social dialogue in local communities. Most recently, Nitin has co-founded EarthCare Designs, a green enterprise which designs and prototypes eco-friendly products and technology.
